Library Research Program

Advanced Research Tools
Flexible Formats

North's Library Research courses equip you with critical thinking skills you need to become an effective citizen, smart consumer and successful college student. You’ll learn how the Web bends and filters what you see, how to protect your information from those eager to profit from it, and the best strategies for college-level research. Library Research credits count toward AA degree requirements and transfer to many four-year institutions.

Advanced Research Tools

The North library provides you with access to many of the same research databases found at four-year institutions. Start now to build yourself into a power user, ready to tackle the research assignments for this year, next year, throughout your college career and beyond

Flexible Formats

Meet your Integrated Studies requirement with a Library Research class linked to a class in English, science or another subject. Or take a stand alone three- or five-credit Library Research course to complement your other studies. Classes are available in hybrid format or completely online.

Choose from four Library Research courses. Check the online schedule for what's offered the current quarter.

I am a more sophisticated researcher now. Learning more about source evaluation is the most improved area of my research skills. A more developed understanding of some of the databases and places to find resources will impact my research in the future.
